Our flexible shared zone bollard features an internal, 10mm thick steel compression spring put under tension. The tension applied strikes a balance; making the bollard difficult for pedestrians to push yet flexing under the greater forces exerted by vehicles.
Shared zone bollards are hit on a regular basis leading to costly replacement of bollards and repair of concrete surfaces. We have designed this bollard to minimise these costs.
About shared zone bollards:
Shared zones are the common areas (usually with hatched line marking) between two disabled parking bays. Australian standard AS2890.1 requires a bollard within the shared zone to prevent vehicles from occupying this space.
Our shared zone bollards sit 1300mm above ground level and are available in bolt-down (for concrete surfaces) or concrete-inground (for bitumen surfaces) models.
The bollards are powdercoated yellow as standard but are available in alternative colours on request.
