PWS height clearance curtains are manufactured for site-specific applications where oversized vehicles need a clear physical warning before entering a restricted-clearance area. The curtain uses individually hung lengths of round pipe across a cross beam, creating a visible overhead barrier at the required clearance height.
When an oversized vehicle contacts the curtain, the steel chain and pipe rattle to alert the driver. The hanging pipes are positioned at 300 mm intervals across the cross beam, providing consistent coverage across the specified width. Each pipe is manufactured from 48 mm galvanised steel pipe and hung on 6 mm galvanised steel chain.
The pipes are powder-coated white and fitted with reflective bands for added visibility. Heavy-gauge steel construction is used for strength, with finish options including hot-dip galvanising and powder coating. Footings can be specified as bolt-down or in-ground to suit the installation location.
