How Did Belvedere Hotel Secure Its Car Park After Hours?
Client Brief
Belvedere Hotel required a car park access control solution to prevent unauthorised overnight parking. The issue was caused by people attending a nearby gym using the hotel car park while the venue was closed.
The client needed a secure, reliable, and practical way to close off all car park entry and exit points after hours.
Key points:
• Unauthorised vehicles were using the hotel car park overnight.
• The car park had three separate entry and exit points.
• Each access point had a different width.
• Required a lockable solution that could remain open during trading hours.
Assessment
Following a site assessment, swing gates were identified as the most suitable solution. The three car park entrances varied in total width, meaning each gate needed to be custom manufactured to suit the specific opening.
The gates also needed to be easy for staff to operate and capable of being locked securely in either the open or closed position.
Outcome
PWS manufactured and installed three custom swing gates for the Belvedere Hotel car park.
Two of the gates were single-piece swing gates, measuring 5.5m and 6m wide. The third was a double swing gate, measuring 6.5m wide. Each gate was installed with multiple latch posts, allowing staff to lock the gates securely in either the open or closed position.
The completed installation provided Belvedere Hotel with a simple and effective way to control car park access.
