Adding the Multi-Function Control Module to the standard solar enhanced road signs enables activating of the system by pedestrian or vehicular interaction and allows for the addition of an animated backlit and/or edgelit sign faces, sirens and/or beacons. Triggering modules allow the encased LED’s light bar or LED animated sign face to be activated by pedestrians (LED Push button or touchless PIR sensor), a gate or door mounted magnetic switch or by remote controlled long range wireless transmitter. Approaching vehicle activation is achieved by K-Band radar. Automated activation is achieved by wireless water level sensor or anemometer. The Multi-Function Control Module also allow for wireless connection between multiple independent systems up to 150 meters apart. Pedestrian or vehicle triggering any system wirelessly activates the synchronised animation of all connected systems.
